Sean Hall’s debut release Waverider’s Whiskey on CandyRat Records journals the juxtaposition of the lows of Covid and the highs of finding ourselves in new ways in the midst of this pandemic. For Sean, along with Covid came the end of a relationship, the rediscovery of himself and the beginnings of something beautiful and new.
The track Liminal Spaces (times of transition) sonically breathes the emotion of new beginnings. The tracks Christine and The Ruby and the Light (from a Rumi love poem) emote the discovery and serendipity of his newfound love. Elegant Madness (featuring Trevor Gordon Hall) attempts to match complexity with lighthearted wonder.
As for the first single Waverider’s Whiskey (featuring Antoine Dufour) sometimes we just need to let go, trust and sip something delicious with a friend.
