Mathieu Fiset's 7th solo album, "Qi Dai" which in Chinese Mandarin, means "looking forward to", is entirely solo piano. The album was written and recorded in China, followed by a tour of many Chinese cities including Shanghai.

"Qi Dai features some of the catchiest songs I ever wrote, allowing myself to use natural chord progressions, intuitive song structures and most importantly : melodies that my ears wanted to hear, not only what my fingers wanted to play ! It still has all of my influences at the root but it certainly have a fresh feel of "pop" music which I allowed myself to like after so many years of doing weird progressive rock music...after all, why should I be ashamed of writing beautiful melodies?"
