ANDREW WHITE (Guitar, Vocals) and BRENDAN POWER (Harmonicas) became friends while living in Auckland, New Zealand. Both moved overseas and have achieved worldwide renown as brilliant solo performers and instrumentalists. Whenever their paths crossed they always took the opportunity to perform together - as they did at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, Scotland and WOMAD New Zealand in 2009. The enthusiastic audience response to the duo’s dynamic stage presence has now encouraged them to team up professionally. Their first album together will be released worldwide in June by respected US label Candyrat Records.
The duo’s powerful blend of passion and virtuosity is brilliantly captured on their debut album Power & White, simultaneously filmed and recorded live for extensive promotion on YouTube by Candyrat Records.
“Harmonica star Brendan Power and Andrew White on guitar and vocals create such a brilliant musical synthesis that wider recognition is only a matter of time. The intense, tight-knit interaction between the two players suggests a true powerhouse partnership in the making." The Scotsman, Edinburgh
"Brendan Power reaches astonishing heights of technical brilliance..." The Guardian, London

Recorded this past September in Chicago, Walk in Light is Andrew's best album to date. Featuring a full band comprised of the city's finest session musicians, it introduces an array of new songs from a broad spectrum of styles. From reggae beats to blues to folk, it displays beautifully Andrew's versatility as a guitarist, songwriter and arranger.

Andrew White - Live was released in early 2005 and was recorded by CBC Radio Canada for the Atlantic Airwaves program. While technically brilliant, his guitar work and soulful vocals is not just out to impress - it has a pleasing, highly melodic structure.

A beautiful collection of recordings by UK-based New Zealander Brendan Power. Power is acknowledged by many as one of the most creative, skilled & versatile harmonica players around today.

This is a brand new 15 track CD over an hour long. It was recorded over a period of eight years as I toured with the Riverdance show, and afterwards. The length of time it's taken means that some tracks have parts recorded from different years and several different countries. But I have taken a lot of care to make sure it all hangs together.

My first commercial album, recorded in 1989 and released in 1990 by Jayrem Records. My dad lent me most of the money to record it, for which I'll always be grateful. It was a chance to bring in some favorite players from the local Auckland music scene of the time; there was a lot of talent around, especially in the young Polynesian musicians, and it was a privilege to work with them in the studio. Check out in particular the scary playing of the young Cook Islands guitarist Tere Ngaeruaiti (18 years old at the time).
